EPL: Aston Villa agree Garnacho loan deal with Chelsea
Aston Villa have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho on loan, with a buy clause expected to become mandatory if certain conditions are met.
According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano’s post on X on Wednesday, the agreement between both clubs has been completed, with Villa manager Unai Emery identified as a key figure in the move after pushing for Garnacho’s arrival.
Romano reported that the obligation-to-buy clause is considered easy to trigger, with Chelsea expecting the transfer to become permanent in 2027.
Garnacho is also set to sign a four-year contract ahead of his move to Villa Park, while the player has begun the final stages of his medical.
The 22-year-old winger will provide Villa with additional attacking options as Emery continues to strengthen his squad.
The move represents another significant transfer for Chelsea, who are expected to secure a future permanent fee for Garnacho as part of the agreement.
During his time at Chelsea, Garnacho made 43 appearances across all competitions, starting 22 matches and playing 2,397 minutes.
The Argentine winger scored eight goals and provided four assists during his spell at Stamford Bridge.
