The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has briefed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the council’s preparations for the 2027 presidential election, with plans to inaugurate its activities on October 20 and commence the re-election campaign in Kaduna State on October 24.
Yari, who disclosed the campaign timetable in a mobilisation message, said Kaduna would host the flag-off of the campaign for Tinubu’s re-election, after which the council would embark on a nationwide mobilisation drive across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He called on party members, political leaders, campaign coordinators, youth groups and other supporters of the President to begin preparations for the Kaduna event, stressing the need for a large turnout.
“On Saturday, 24 October, we flag off the campaign to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and from Kaduna we will not rest until we have been to all 36 states and the FCT,” Yari said.
The APC chieftain urged state chapters of the party and various support groups to liaise with the council’s secretariat to ensure effective coordination and mobilisation ahead of the campaign launch.
“I am asking every party member, leader and coordinator, and every young Nigerian who wants this country to work: be there, and bring your people with you.
“State chapters and support groups, start mobilising now with the Council’s secretariat,” he added.
Yari said the council was expecting a massive but peaceful gathering in Kaduna, describing the event as an opportunity for supporters to demonstrate their commitment to Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
“A big turnout and a peaceful one. That is the message Kaduna will send,” he said.
He expressed optimism about the planned flag-off, calling on supporters to attend the event.
“See you in Kaduna, insha Allah,” Yari added.
The planned activities signal an early push by the APC presidential campaign machinery to consolidate support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
The nationwide mobilisation is expected to involve the party’s state structures and support groups, with Kaduna serving as the starting point for the campaign’s proposed tour of the federation.
