A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and grassroots politician, Dr. Kojo Sam, has led members of the APC Believers Family on a two-day sensitisation tour of communities in Nembe and Brass Local Government Areas of Bayelsa State, canvassing support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The team visited Agrisaba, Ikensi, Okoroba, Oluasiri, Obioku, Okoroma, Ewelesuo, Nembe Creek, Fantuo and Odioma communities, where they were received by large crowds of APC supporters and residents.

Addressing the communities, the APC chieftains highlighted projects and interventions undertaken by the Tinubu administration, particularly through the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), as reasons why the President should be returned for a second term.

Speaking during the tour, Sam, who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Labrador Security Services and Kojo Sam Logistics, said Tinubu deserved re-election because of the administration’s development interventions across Bayelsa and the Niger Delta.

He particularly commended the NDDC, under its Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for executing projects in rural communities across Nembe and Brass.

According to him, the sensitisation tour was necessary to take the APC’s message directly to residents in hard-to-reach communities ahead of the 2027 elections.

He said, “As grassroots politicians, we are about to enter a campaign and an election. Hence, we need to go around and sensitise our people in the rural areas and talk to them about the need to re-elect President Bola Tinubu.

“President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term to complete the good works. We need to talk to the people to make them see the reason why we need to stand together and give 100 per cent of our votes.

“President Tinubu has 100 reasons to be re-elected. He has done well for Bayelsa and the Niger Delta region through the NDDC. Our son, Dr. Sam Ogbuku, is the Managing Director, and he has been implementing the vision of President Tinubu for the region through development projects.”

Sam said the impact of NDDC interventions could be seen in some rural communities, particularly through the provision of electricity and other infrastructure.

“Today, if you go to some of our communities, you will see that the communities have been lit up by the NDDC. This is one of the reasons APC chieftains in these communities are very happy and are ready to give 100 per cent votes to President Tinubu,” he added.

The APC chieftain also commended Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, for what he described as exemplary leadership, while urging opposition political parties not to expect victory in Nembe and Brass.

He called on residents to participate actively in the electoral process by collecting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), saying the cards would enable them to express their support for the President during the 2027 presidential election.

Also speaking, a former chairman of the APC in the state, Dr. Dennis Otiotio, said the APC Believers Family embarked on the tour to engage residents ahead of the commencement of political campaigns.

Otiotio said the group also sought to secure the commitment of residents to support the APC in the forthcoming elections.

“We have just concluded a tour of communities in Nembe and Brass Local Government Areas. We are the APC Believers Family, led by Dr. Kojo Sam and several other leaders of the party.

“We have gone around the communities in Brass and Nembe Local Government Areas with a simple message to discuss with them ahead of the APC campaigns. We are here to enter into a covenant with them to support the APC.
“The people overwhelmingly accepted us and agreed to vote for the APC,” he said.
