A group of youths identified as supporters of former Bauchi State Commissioner, Farouk Mustapha, have announced their defection to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the State.
The group, who made this announcement on Monday, said they joined the party under the leadership of Bula Bulan Kaura, citing unity, mutual respect and a desire to contribute to the party’s growth.
According to the youths, their decision is aimed at supporting the political aspirations of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and strengthening the APM across the state.
They were received by Alhaji Bala Sale Ciroma, described as a youth leader in the party, who commended their decision and assured them of equal opportunities within the APM.
Ciroma said the party remained committed to promoting unity, inclusiveness and development as it continues to expand its support base across Bauchi State.
The development is expected to add to the growing political realignments ahead of future political activities in the state.
