The Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the forthcoming 2027 general elections, Peter Obi, has opened up on his decision to pick the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and leader of Kwankwassiyya Movement, Rabiu Kwankwaso, as his running mate.

Obi, who spoke recently in an interview with The Sun, said he decided to settle for the former governor of Kano State because “Kwankwaso has the philosophy of pulling people out of poverty”.
