Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the former governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi, over the death of his mother, Dame Ezinne Amaechi.

In a condolence message issued on behalf of the government and people of Rivers State, Fubara expressed deep sympathy with the former governor, describing the death of his mother as an irreparable loss not only to the immediate family but also to the Catholic faithful, the entire Ubima community and Rivers State.

This was contained in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Onwuka Nzeshi.

While noting that the loss of a mother is a deeply painful experience, Fubara urged Amaechi and his family to take solace in the “good life Mama lived and the legacies she left behind.”

He acknowledged the vital role Mama “played in shaping the character and values of her family and the community at large.”

The governor prayed to God to comfort the entire family during this difficult period and grant the soul of the departed matriarch eternal rest.

Our correspondent reports that since the passing of the former governor’s mother, prominent Nigerians, including President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, have sent condolence messages to Amaechi.
